QPD Arrest /Activity Report Provided by Quartzsite Police Department JANUARY 25, - FEBRUARY 11, 2017 During this reporting period, the Quartzsite Police responded to over 400 calls for service with QPD Offi cers com- pleting seventy-three (73) departmental reports, nineteen (19) criminal and/or civil citations, and sixty-four (64) warn- ings for civil traffi c violations. 01/27 Caitlin Williamson (26) of Coopersville, MI was issued a criminal citation for Aggressive Driving after police observed her speeding, following too closely and making an unsafe lane change nearly causing a collision on Central Boulevard. 01/27 Patrick Nolan Soehl (64) of Colorado Springs, CO was cited for a civil traffi c violation after he struck a bicyclist on Central Boulevard causing minor injury to the bicyclist. 01/28 An adult male (62) of Taylors- ville, UT suffered a fractured leg during an ATV accident on BLM Land near Plomosa Road at Mile Post 5. 01/28 Four generators were reported stolen during the night from BLM campgrounds on Plomosa Road. 01/29 Two generators were report- ed stolen from the BLM Dome Rock Campground. 01/29 An unidentifi ed motorcyclist was observed driving recklessly nearly striking a pedestrian on Main Street at Central Boulevard. Police attempted to stop the motorcyclist and he/she fl ed on the motorcycle at high speeds. Police dis- continued their attempt to stop the mo- torcyclist due to the unsafe conditions to the community. The motorcyclist was last seen driving north on Moon Mountain Road. Once identifi ed, the motorcyclist will be booked into jail for misdemeanor Reckless Driving and felony Unlawful Flight from Law Enforcement. 01/29 Police recovered an infant child in good health that had been miss- ing for approximately seven months. The child was turned over to the Ari- zona Department of Child Safety. 01/30 Ryan Hiser (24) of Blythe, CA was cited and released for Driving While Suspended and the vehicle he was driving was towed for a 30-day Im- pound pursuant to ARS 28-3511. 01/30 Dolores Peretik (61) of Quartzsite, AZ was intoxicated when she was involved in a domestic dis- turbance with her boyfriend at their residence. Peretik armed herself with a fi rearm and told responding offi cers that she wanted to kill her boyfriend. Peretik was booked into jail for Disor- derly Conduct with a Firearm per Do- mestic Violence, a felony. 01/30 Laura Blackburn (26) of Mesa, AZ was cited and released for Driving While Suspended and the vehicle she was driving was towed for a 30-day Im- pound pursuant to ARS 28-3511. 01/30 QPD K-9 Unit assisted Arizona DPS with a traffi c stop on Interstate 10 and recovered over $200,000 in US Cur- rency associated with illicit drug sales. 01/30 QPD K-9 Unit assisted the La Paz County Sheriff's Offi ce with a traf- fi c stop on Interstate 10 that resulted in the recovery of marijuana, metham- phetamine, fi rearms and approximately $7,000 in US Currency associated with illicit drug sales. 02/01 QPD K-9 Unit assisted the La Paz County Sheriff's Offi ce with a traffi c stop on Interstate 10 and recovered ap- proximately 6 pounds of marijuana. 02/02 Donna Sockol (41) of Quartzsite, AZ was arrested after she assaulted her live-in boyfriend and her father while intoxicated during a do- mestic dispute at their residence. Sock- ol was booked into jail for two counts of Assault per Domestic Violence. 02/02 Rodney Pearson (48) of Redding, CA was intoxicated when he caused several disturbances at a "Je- sus Loves" gathering and was being escorted out of the premises when he spat on an adult victim and knocked a telephone from the victim's hand as the victim attempted to call the police. Pearson fl ed the scene, but was later captured by police and booked into jail for Disorderly Conduct and Assault. 02/03 Jerry Beishir (55) a vagrant with no fi xed address caused a distur- bance at a local convenience store al- leging he was overcharged 5-cents for coffee. Beishir yelled insults and pro- fanities at the store employees and dis- turbed customers. Beisher was booked into jail for Disorderly Conduct. 02/05 QPD K-9 Unit assisted Arizo- na DPS with a traffi c stop on Interstate 10 that resulted in the recovery of THC Wax (solid hash oil), marijuana, meth- amphetamine and fi ve fi rearms in pos- session of a convicted felon. 02/05 Mariah Hamrick (29) a va- grant with no fi xed address sent ha- rassing messages on social media to her boyfriend's new girlfriend. Hamrick was cited and released for Harassment. 02/06 Dawn Lewallen (32) of Quartzsite, AZ went to her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend's tent and assaulted her after receiving derogatory social media messages from the ex-girlfriend. Lewal- len was cited and released for Disorder- ly Conduct. 02/06 Gene Swallows (83) of Quartzsite, AZ was cited for civil traffi c violations after he struck a bicyclist on Central Boulevard causing minor injury to the bicyclist. 02/07 Sergio Gaspar (33) of Yuma, AZ was stopped by the QPD K-9 Unit for several minor traffi c violations and found under the infl uence of metham- phetamine. Police recovered a useable quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia from Gaspar's ve- hicle. Gaspar admitted to conspiring to transport over two pounds of metham- phetamine. Gaspar was booked into jail for Conspiracy to Transport Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Possession of Dan- gerous Drugs. 02/07 Robert Arnold (37) of Quartzsite, AZ was involved in a do- mestic dispute with his girlfriend at their residence that also disturbed his neighbor. Arnold was booked into jail for Disorderly Conduct and Disorderly Conduct per Domestic Violence. 02/07 Veronica Johnson (33) of Quartzsite, AZ was involved in a do- mestic dispute with her boyfriend at their residence that also disturbed her neighbor. Johnson was cited and re- leased for Disorderly Conduct. 02/09 A motorcycle was reported stolen from the parking lot of a local restaurant. The motorcycle was sto- len sometime between 02/03/17 and 02/08/17. 02/10 Christopher Dominguez (24) of Stockton, CA was intoxicated and driving without a driver's license on Interstate 10. Dominguez was arrested for DUI and later released to a respon- sible party with a citation. The vehicle Dominguez was driving was towed to a 30-day Impound pursuant to ARS 28- 3511. 02/10 Eddy Carrasco (22) of Stock- ton, CA was cited and released for Open Containers of Alcohol as a passenger in Christopher Dominguez's vehicle. 02/10 Phillip Knowles (48) of Me- nifee, CA was found in possession of a useable quantity of marijuana and a scale. Knowles was cited and released for Attempted Possession of Marijuana and Attempted Possession of Drug Par- aphernalia. 02/10 Roy Popejoy Jr. (51) a vagrant from parts unknown was contacted dur- ing a trespass investigation and found to be wanted for an outstanding mis- demeanor arrest warrant issued by the Quartzsite Magistrate Court in 2012. Popejoy was booked into jail for the warrant and issued a Trespass Warning for a local business. 02/11 Matthew Root (47) of Camp Verde, AZ was involved in a domestic disturbance with his mother at a local campground. Root was arrested and booked into jail for Disorderly Conduct per Domestic Violence. 02/11 Erin Buckley (38) a vagrant from parts unknown was cited and re- leased for Drinking Alcohol in Public. 02/11 Erin Buckley (38) a vagrant from parts unknown was intoxicated and caused a disturbance at a local restaurant. Buckley was arrested and transported to jail for booking where he was found in possession of metham- phetamine hidden on his person. Buck- ley was booked for Disorderly Conduct, Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Promoting Contraband in a Detention Facility.
