Campaign Status At-a-Glance As of February 2, 2017 Total Raised $1,137,500 Number of Contributors 63 Goal $1.5 Million Number of Active Alumni 1,354 b eing in a fraternity opens you up to a side of life and a sense of camaraderie that you didn't previously know existed. It's the sort of brotherhood that you never forget and look back at with a sort of fondness and sense of nostalgia. For Brian Loucks '64, this could not ring more true. "My Sigma Chi experience was truly one in a million; Beta Rho provided me with a lifetime of friendships with brothers of all ages and a set of values that I continue to live by more than 50 years later." It is Brian's hope that through Beta Rho's capital campaign, future generations of Sigma Chis will continue to have the same opportunities to gain lifelong friends and be successful. Cheering on the Bobcats at football games with his brothers, initiation night, participating in intramural sports, and attending the Sweetheart Ball with his now wife of 52 years, Patricia, who was his Sigma Chi Sweetheart in college, provided the ultimate fraternity experience for Brian. These unforgettable memories in Sigma Chi have inspired Brian to give back in order to help secure a future for Beta Rho. "When I reflected on all that Sigma Chi has done for me and my brothers, it created a desire to continue this for our future brothers. These young men will grow to be our future leaders and they deserve a facility that is indicative of the success they have attained over the years." Because Brian knows an attractive, well- maintained chapter house is a tremendous source of pride for undergraduates and alumni alike, supporting the Honoring Our Past 100 Years campaign was an easy choice. "Our beloved chapter house has not been renovated for more than 50-plus years. The facility renovation is a necessity that needs to be fueled to ensure Beta Rho will maintain its competitive image on campus for generations to come. Alumni must step up and be accountable for our chapter's continued excellence at MSU. Ask yourself what Sigma Chi means to you and how it has positively impacted your life. Behind every gift there is a memory, a reason, a purpose for giving. Honor your commitment to Beta Rho by donating to the campaign today." Brian is a semi-retired CPA and lives in Great Falls, Montana, with Patricia. They have two sons, Brian and BJ. In his spare time, Brian remains heavily involved with MSU. He is a member of the Bobcat Quarterback Club, where he has helped raise $600,000 this year for Bobcat football, and has been involved with fundraisers throughout the university. Brian's love for sports, particularly at MSU, inspired him to be a driving force in helping raise $6 million in 180 days for the university's football stadium. "I enjoy being surrounded by young people who are as smart, qualified, and driven as the students at MSU," he says.
