It even has a look all its own. You can 'see' it. When I see love between two people it seems almost 'tangible' in a way. So much so that it reaches into our very soul because it's so identifi able, and even enviable. When I see it I can't help but begin to wonder about their future and what awaits them. In our industry we are at the very gateway of their new life journey together. That too is enviable! We can at once look down our own periscopes and begin to imagine servicing this family for years to come: celebrating anniversaries, children and other milestone events – and all of it beginning with the purchase of a ring. There is a 'romance behind the ring' to create an experience to draw this customer in, as certainly as we have been 'romancing the stone' for at least a few decades now. When I look back to starting my own company in 2006, it was the very concept of 'love' that I employed to launch my fi rst collection, Juliet's Love® inspired by Shakespeare's 'Romeo & Juliet,' one of the greatest and most enduring love stories of all time. To me it just made sense to blend love with bridal in attempts to fast-track my company brand. I will always believe in love and will use it in my marketing endeavors to come. 'Love' is an experi- ence that transcends 'any' generational and cultural novelties, and in our business – we will always have a rapt audience.
