"We want to make this information about state tax responsibilities avail- able to all Cleveland County entrepreneurs and business owners," said Steve Padgett, Director. Any entrepreneur, small business owner, or po- tential small business owner is invited to attend this FREE seminar. The seminar will cover basic CCC offers free tax seminar requirements to help North Carolina businesses under- stand the laws and obliga- tions necessary to be a com- pliant business. Participants will become familiar with NC tax laws that are pertinent to businesses and the respon- sibilities of a business owner. The seminar will also cover the basics of tax compliance ranging from registering your business, to withholding from employees, and sales and use tax requirements. At the end of the seminar, there will be a question and answer session with the presenter and networking possibilities with other business owners. Registration is necessary for this seminar and is avail- able on the Cleveland Com- munity College website [www. clevelandcc.edu] or you may register in person at the Small Business Center offi ce in the LeGrand Center. The objective of the Small Business Center at Cleveland Community College is to in- crease the success rate and the number of viable small businesses by providing high quality, readily-accessible counseling and assistance to prospective and existing small business owners.
