The New Christie Minstrels surprised
local senior Elmer London with singing
his song during their concerts on Janu-
ary 14th. London, age 94, wrote the
words long ago and recently came upon
them in his fi les. Randy Sparks, founder
of the group shared the poem with band
members to learn for this year's concert
at the Quartzsite Improvementa Assoc.
London said, "What a wonderful treat
for this old geezer!"

Here comes the snow birds
it's an annual Rit.
They travel like Nomads
and circle RV's
They swarm over the desert

When winter comes on
they gripe and they moan.
