QPD Arrest Report The following arrests were made by Quartzsite Police Department DECEMBER 19, 2016 - JANUARY 11, 2017 *12/06 James Linden (62) of Quartzsite, AZ was arrested in Scottsdale, AZ for a Quartzsite PD Arrest Warrant for Child Molestation, a Class 2 Felony and booked into the Maricopa County Detention Cen- ter. Linden will remain in-custody with a $100,000.00 cash bond pending extradi- tion to La Paz County. 12/21 Harry Dillon (68) of Quartzsite, AZ was cited and released for operating an unregistered ATV on the roadway with an open contained of alcohol. 12/21 Joseph Poole (58) a vagrant with no fi xed address was booked into the La Paz County Detention Center for Disorderly Con- duct after he was observed yelling at custom- ers and urinating on a local business. 12/21 Arnoldo Forbes (43) of Quartzsite, AZ was booked into the La Paz County Deten- tion Center for Threats and Intimidation after an argument about a civil matter. 12/22 Farrell Dean Taylor (78) of Quartzsite, AZ was cited and released for Threats and Intimidation after an argu- ment about a civil matter. 12/22 Rodolfo Velasquez Anzuelo (35) of Lancaster, CA was cited and re- leased for a Criminal Speed Violation after he was observed traveling at 92 MPH in a 75 MPH speed zone. 12/26 Andrea Ortiz (33) of Desert Hot Springs, CA was cited and released for a Criminal Speed Violation after she was observed traveling over 100 MPH in a 75 MPH speed zone. 12/26 Christopher Theodore (55) of California, Nevada and Quartzsite, AZ was booked into the La Paz County Detention Center for Aggravated Domestic Violence after assaulting an adult female and female child during an argument while he was in- toxicated. 12/28 Shaun Stuart (38) of Washing- ton and Quartzsite, AZ was booked into the La Paz County Detention Center for Crimi- nal Damage and Disorderly Conduct per Domestic Violence after damaging a door during a drunken argument. 12/30 Jesus Arturo Ramirez (53) of Yuma, AZ was cited and released for Attempted Possession of Marijuana, At- tempted Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and an Ignition Interlock Device Violation after being stopped for speeding. Ramirez's vehicle was towed with a 30-day Impound Hold per ARS 28-3511. 12/30 Corey Lamere (35) of Quartzsite, AZ was booked into the La Paz County De- tention Center for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Assault per Domestic Violence and Disorderly Con- duct per Domestic Violence after assaulting an adult female during an argument about his substance abuse and attempting to de- stroy the illicit drug-related evidence. 12/30 Dennis Trapp (37) of Phoenix, AZ was cited and released for Driving While Sus- pended and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol. Trapp's vehicle was towed with a 30-day Impound Hold per ARS 28-3511. 12/30 Carl Isaacs (24) a transient from Idaho was booked into the La Paz County Detention Center for Possession of Narcot- ics, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after being contact- ed by police reference overnight camping in a local business parking lot. 12/31 Tiana Benyon (25) of Quartzsite, AZ was released pending a long form Crimi- nal Complaint Request for Child Abuse and Endangerment after leaving her infant child unattended in a vehicle at a local swap meet. 12/31 Brian Hensley (53) a vagrant from Kansas, Idaho and parts unknown was booked for an outstanding misdemeanor Ar- rest Warrant issued by the Quartzsite Mag- istrate Court for Contempt of Court in 2013. 12/31 Justin Johnson (33) of Prescott Valley, AZ was cited and released for a Town Code Fireworks Violation after he set his trailer on fi re while igniting fi reworks during a New Year's celebration. Quartzsite Police Department ACTIVITY / ARREST REPORT January 1, 2017 to January 11, 2017 During this reporting period the Quartzsite Police responded to 281 calls for service with QPD Offi cers completing thirty-two (32) departmental reports, nineteen (19) criminal and/or civil citations, six (6) writ- ten warnings and forty-six (46) camping permit checks on State Trust Land result- ing in four (4) violations. 01/01 Morgan Ellis (33) of Quartzsite, AZ and Texas was booked into the La Paz County Detention Center for Assault, Threats and Disorderly Conduct per Do- mestic Violence after he became intoxi- cated, assaulted and threatened an adult female victim. 01/01 Byron Wilson (34) of Quartzsite was arrested for an outstanding mis- demeanor arrest warrant issued by the Quartzsite Justice Court for Failure to Comply on an original charge of Assault per Domestic Violence and found in pos- session of methamphetamine related drugs paraphernalia. Wilson was booked into the La Paz County Detention Center for the Misdemeanor Arrest Warrant and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 01/01 Marjorie Sawyer (76) of Klamath Falls, OR was involved in a traffi c collision on 12/07/16 and left the scene without report- ing the accident. Sawyer was identifi ed and located by police who cited her for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, a misdemeanor. 01/02 Alejandro Camacho Vasquez (23) of Phoenix, AZ was observed smoking marijuana in a public place and found in possession of marijuana and other assorted drug paraphernalia. Vasquez was cited for Attempted Possession of Marijuana and At- tempted Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 01/04 Andrea Buckley (31) of Quartzsite, AZ was booked into the La Paz County Detention Center for Criminal Trespass after she returned to a private residence after she was previously warned not to return by the owner and police. 01/04 Melissa Hancock (37) of Quartzsite, AZ was contacted by police for ob- structing the roadway and found in possession of marijuana. Hancock was cited and released for Attempted Possession of Marijuana. 01/05 Wilfred Hemenway (82) of La Paz Valley – Quartzsite, AZ struck an unat- tended vehicle in the parking lot of a local business and left the scene without report- ing the accident on 01/04. Hemenway was located a day later and cited for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, a misdemeanor. 01/05 Eric Ciolina (50) of Payson, AZ was arrested for Possession of Danger- ous Drugs For Sale and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs For Sale after offi cers and detectives from the Quartzsite PD, La Paz County Narcotics Taskforce and the Phoenix PD served a QPD Search Warrant at an apartment in Phoenix, AZ reference a recent death investigation. Ciolina was booked into the Maricopa County Deten- tion Center for Possession of Dangerous Drugs For Sale and a criminal complaint for Transportation of Dangerous Drugs For Sale will be sought in La Paz County. 01/06 Melissa Nalley (35) of Blythe, CA was arrested for shoplifting merchandise at a local business and found in possession of meth- amphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Nalley was booked into the La Paz County Detention Center where she was found in possession of additional methamphetamine concealed in her undergarments. NALLEY was booked for Fel- ony Shoplift, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Promoting Contraband in a Correctional Facility and four outstanding Misdemeanor Arrest Warrants is- sued by the Quartzsite Justice Court for origi- nal charges of Refusing to Provide Truthful Name, Failure to Appear, Disorderly Conduct, Threats & Intimidation, Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass. 01/07 James Plain (58) of Quartzsite, AZ, Kentucky and Florida was arrested for Ob- structing a Roadway when he was found in- toxicated lying on Central Boulevard (High- way 95) causing several vehicles to stop to avoid striking him.
