a Spanish style home about three
miles out of town. He has been an
artist all his life, and worked at a
sign shop for 20 years cartooning,
painting, and drawing all kinds of
art. He worked as a Deputy Sher-
iff in Clark County, in Vancouver
Washington for 25 years in the ho-
micide dept. and was often called
out to crime scenes to do sketches
of the scenes when no camera was
available. His sketches were so ac-
curate that he was asked to teach
at the police academy, and was also
loaned out to other law enforcement
offi cers to help them as well.
Larry has done 7 covers for Stu
Campbell, and probably has many
more to go--Stu does like to write,
and Larry's paintings are just the
right covers for his books. Helen
Kline, one of the other authors is
also planning to use Larry Ross
Jones to do some covers for her
next two books as well. He is a soft
spoken, talented, all around nice
gentleman who loves his artwork,
and so does everybody else!
All of these authors are plan-
ning to be here until the fi rst part of
March. There will be more coming
this month and next month to join in
all the fun, so be sure to come down
to the Reader's Oasis Boolstore and
meet them all!! They are there from
10 am to about 5 p.m almost every
day. For more information, please
call 927-6551.
