He worked in construction and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a Baptist. Billy Mack Buff, age 73, of Harris, NC, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012. BILLY MACK BUFF In addition to his par- ents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Buff; two brothers, Dewey Buff and Ken Buff; an infant brother, Donald Buff and infant sister, Mary Buff. Survivors include four daughters, Sherri Buff of Sandy Mush, Angie Buff of Shiloh, Toni Buff Horton of Shiloh and Amy Dawn "Buffie" Buff of Rutherfordton; two sons, Jeff Buff of Forest City and Robbie Shane Buff and fiancé, Amy Laughter of Ellenboro. He is also survived by four brothers, Elbert Buff of Ellenboro, Curtis D. Buff of Spartanburg, Frank Buff of Shelby, Jim Buff of Harris; four sis- ters, Virginia B. Scruggs of Spartanburg, Irene Scott of Gaffney, Johnnie Buff of Rutherfordton, Jackie B. Connor of Rutherfordton; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Mr. Reid Medlin offi- ciating. A private burial will take place on a later date. Clifford was born June 11, 1957 in Cleveland County, NC to Clifford Murray and the late Oler Mae Smith Murray. He was a graduate of Shelby High School, class of 1975 and worked for Mastercraft for almost twenty years and Watts Water Technology for many years. He was a member of Caroleen Missionary Methodist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, guns and cut- ting grass. He was a kind and loving man with a wonderful sense of humor. He also loved his dogs, June Bug and Daisy. Clifford was born June 11 1957 in Cleveland Faye was born October 2, 1940 in Cleveland County, NC to the late V.W Hutchins and Essie Waters Hutchins. She was a graduate of Mooresboro High School, class of 1958 and worked as a CNA for Carolina Healthcare for over 15 years. She enjoyed going on trips, growing flowers and animals. She was a strong and honest per- son. on Saturday, July 28, 2012. A native of Cleveland County, she was born on February 5, 1956, a daughter of the late Belve and Vera Goforth Ledford. She worked in the health- care industry as a care- giver. She was an active member of Lattimore Baptist Church where she was in the Alpha Grace Sunday School Class and was a Choir Member; she was very athletic and played slow pitch for many years. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, David Scott Dover; In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bobby Ray Melton; one son, Travis Don Melton; three broth- ers, Everett Hutchins, Steve Hutchins, L.W. Hutchins; three sisters, Geneva Horne, Annie Sue Owens and Lucy May Turner. Survivors include one daughter, Diana Melton and husband, Tony of Forest City; two sons, Phillip Melton of Forest City and Gerald Melton of Ellenboro; one broth- er, Bob Hutchins of Mooresboro; two sisters, Sadie Ruth Henson and Dorothy Ray Chapman both of Ellenboro. She Helen was a young child when she and her parents relocated to Rutherfordton. She was united in marriage to the late Dennis Flack. From this union seven children were born. She was pre- ceded in death by her two eldest sons JC and Robert Flack. She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters Minnie (Eugene) Twitty, Mildred (Lee) Cannon, Lois Staton, and Klonia Flack and her youngest son Columbus (Donna) Flack. Nine grandchildren, four- teen great grandchil- dren and six great great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services were held at Crowe's Chapel with the Rev. Ethel Pearl Parker Fowler, 92, ETHEL PEARL PARKER FOWLER of Ruth, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012. A native of Rutherford County she was the daughter of the late Alfred Elihu Parker and Ida Hall Parker. She worked in textiles and was a mem- ber of Second Baptist Church. Hazel was born December 12 1924 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Clifford Swint and Sara Katherine Wilburn Swint. She was a homemaker and a gifted seamstress and quilter. She also was a promotion photographer. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Armstrong and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Swint of Illinois, Mary Miller of Black Canyon City, AZ and Dora Hill of Ellenboro; three sons, John Davis of Gloucester City, NJ, Max Wilkison and George Davis both of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by seven brothers and sisters, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on December 31, 1951, a son of the late Thurman by his daughters, Lorie Evans Toney of Ellenboro and Savannah Grace Evans of the home; two brothers, Dennis Evans of Bostic and Dean Blanton, of Bostic; five sisters, Diane Nalley of Ellenboro, Corliss Davis of the home, Cathy Bennett of Forest City, Brenda Ramsey of Ellenboro, and Tammy McIntire of Forest City; two grandchildren, Hunter Toney of Ellenboro and Abigail Toney of Ellenboro. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on July 3, 1950, a daugh- ter of the late Perry Elijah Whisnant and Hilda Hamrick Whisnant of Ellenboro. She was a retired Truck Driver and co-owner of Black Beauty Trucking. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addi- tion to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eric Bruce Williams. In addition to her mother, she is sur- vived by her brother, Perry Whisnant of Ellenboro; one sister, Teresa Wood of Ellenboro; her nieces, Shellica Wood Romney and Samantha Leia Whisnant; her great niec- es, Sabrina and Nessa; her great nephews, Logan and Sammy.
