I am humbled and honored to have been chosen as the Chairman of the Board for Fayetteville - Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce. Having been involved with the Chamber for several years now, I have seen first-hand how our community has grown and weathered the economic "ups and downs" recently. This is a great community with great people and great potential. Our goal should The Chamber's function is to promote positive business activity and growth wherever and however possible. That means different things to different people and the Chamber intentionally seeks to broaden the opportunities for new businesses while continuing to enhance the seasoned, existing businesses. The responsibility of creating a desirable and attractive community belongs to all of us. Whether created by individuals, government or the Chamber, programs such as Fayetteville Beautiful, Fayetteville Young Professionals, Leadership Fayetteville, Fourth Friday and Fayetteville After 5 are all designed to make our community a better place to live. Additionally, our faith community has been extremely active in reaching out to care for those in need. Truly, Fayetteville is a great place to be. As you spend time reading this magazine, look for opportunities to see what Fayetteville and Cumberland County have to offer. I figured this out 31 years ago and I'm glad I did! Mark W.
