Patrick H. McKinney '55 received the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists'
(SIPES) Outstanding Service Award in 2014 after serving as chairman of the Houston chapter
and being on the board for several years. After terminating McKinney Exploration in 2011, he
has focused on community activities pertaining to church choir, orchestra, Sunday school, the
Note-ables singing group, the Houston Symphony League of the Bay Area, and Gardeners by the
Bay. Most of his musical activities are associated with composition, performance, and learning

Gregory Davis '94 released two books, The Sales Management Textbook, for owners and sales
managers, and Inside the Frathouse, a narrative memoir about building sales culture inside a
company, but also about the experience at Beta. Gregory lives in Austin, Texas, and has two
