Beta Mu Link
B
eta Mu ended the spring semester on a
high note, initiating the spring pledge class
in Oxford, attending our Spring Formal in
Louisville, hosting a trike race philanthropy with
Chi Omega, finishing in the top five in grades for
the semester, and second in community service
hours among Purdue's fraternities.
Morale was at an all-time high after initiation
in mid-April, which carried until the end of the
semester. We have developed a new Moms'
Club and are very grateful for all they have
done—supplied finals week snacks, purchased
a volleyball net, planned the move-in cookout,
helped with Dads' Day, and much more.
Over the summer, we had multiple brothers
attend both Wooden and Convention. At
Wooden, brothers were able to strengthen their
Beta experience to be truly values-based. At
Convention, we won a Leadership Development
Award and were able to see what it will look like
for us to obtain a charter. That is the big goal
for the executive team and Chapter for the year,
to finally turn this colony into a Chapter at next
year's Convention.
As we have begun our second full school year,
we are grasping what it looks like to run various
aspects of the Chapter such as Kai, recruitment,
and programming more smoothly. We are excited
to have a full house and have hit the ground
running, excelling in all areas of the fraternal
experience, including bringing in more Men of
Principle.
Yours in _kai_,

The Indianapolis Star recently
published a story about the positive
effects of fraternities. The reporter
reached out to Brandon Cutler,
Associate Dean of Students and
Director of Fraternity, Sorority and
Cooperative Life at Purdue. He has
a positive view of the current events
at Beta Mu and directed the reporter
to the Chapter. Visit the link below to
