Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door. Hours for the event are Friday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon - 4 p.m. The Holiday Gift Galleria started in 2007 at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds. The JCLS developed the event as a way to offer Cleveland County and surrounding residents a unique holi- day shopping experience. "One thing that we have new for this year is the Friday night Sip N Shop," says Erica Beckler, chair of the 2016 Gift Galleria. "We have maxed out our capacity for ven- dors and wanted to expand and grow the event, so we came up with the Friday night Sip N Shop to appeal to shoppers who want a different experience." The Sip N Shop is Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets for the Sip N Shop are $25, which includes admission for the event, a bar ticket and appetizers, along with registration for a variety of raf- fle prizes. "This will be a great night out with friends," says Beckler, "and as a bonus those attending can shop without the large crowds." The JCLS has been serving the residents of Cleveland County since 1934. The organization currently has more than 250 active and sustain- ing members. The primary purpose of the JCLS is to raise money to provide for needy people, and the group's main proj- ect is the clothing room, through which they provide wardrobes of new cloth- ing for children in need. Last year, the JCLS clothed almost 900 children in the Cleveland County school system. The Gift Galleria is one of the fundraisers each year that the JCLS uses to support its charitable efforts. Last year, the JCLS raised more than $95,000 from various fundraisers, including the Gift Galleria, a poinsettia sale in November and a charity race in March. The three-day Galleria usu- ally brings in around $25,000. For more information about the Holiday Gift Galleria, visit the event Facebook page at "Holiday Gift Galleria."
