T hroughout my term as Prytanis this past year, I have been deeply humbled by the determination and commitment of our officers and Fraters in moving the Chapter toward a new era of revitalization. We have continued to show success in all facets of our Chapter operations, including member participation, alumni engagement, academics, recruitment, and membership retention. I have never been more confident that our Chapter is prepared for the evolution from 1107 N. State Street to #3 Fraternity Drive. Our Chapter, both actives and alumni, have continued to stress the importance of recruitment and retention as we shift into the new, 50-man house, and results have reflected that hard work. For this fall semester, our Chapter was ranked fourth for new member recruitment, above Kappa Sigma and Kappa Alpha Order, which both have new chapter houses. Thanks to the hard work of the recruitment chairmen the past two years, freshmen and sophomores now constitute approximately two-thirds of our Chapter—an indication that our Chapter is prepared to grow in numbers. We have continued our Chapter engagement into the opening week of the semester by including more socials, brotherhood, recruitment, and philanthropy events. Not to mention, our new members seem to have higher academic and leadership qualities than ever before. As we look ahead at the upcoming year, we will be celebrating the decades full of memories that Fraters have experienced in this house. It will be an emotional year for some, but an exciting year for many. I look forward to the continued progress of the Beta Eta Chapter, and this new Chapter House will ensure that the spirit of the fraternity will live on. Yours in the Bond, Joshua Nixon '13, BH1093 Prytanis (417) 827-1715 jmnbqb@mst.edu Remembering the Past, Embracing the Future Undergraduates Prepared for the New Chapter House Undergraduates with new members at the first brotherhood event of the semester at Lane Spring.
