When you complete a visit at one of the 12 sites, your passport is stamped by that lo- ca on. Every stamp is different and unique to each a rac on. Securing Business for Cumberland County Throughout each fiscal year, the (FACVB) sales staff a ends12-15 trade shows throughout the region and the country. The purpose of a ending the trade shows is to secure leads for new mee ng business for Cumberland County. Sales staff a endsthe shows that pertain to the market they handle, whether it be Associa on Mee ngs, Religious Mee ngs, Sports Events, Group Tour events or Reunions. At the show, staff either has individual appointments with planners or staffs a booth and talks with planners to sell them on bringing their mee ng to Cumberland County. If the planner is interested in our area , and we have the facili es available to host the mee ng, staff gathers informa on. Once back in the office, staff works with hotels and mee ng or sports facili es to prepare a proposal for the event. They work closely with the planner un l they receive the yes to bring the mee ng to Cumberland County. CVB offers Comprehensive Web Resource You may know the Faye eville Area Conven on & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) manages a comprehensive event calendar highligh ng all events of visitor interest in Cumberland County. Something you may not know - our website also features a database of all restaurants and stores in the county. We've got 600+ restaurants online and even more stores. Managing this large database is one of the tasks of our Research and Database Manager David Nash. David also compiles and presents FACVB results, completes a monthly visitor profile from several touch points in the community and oversees all the technology the FACVB uses in its day-to-day work.
