Celebration!
Here at CityView we are
commemorating our 10
year anniversary! Ten years
of telling stories, exploring
our community and
sharing it all with you. We
love to share all the ways
people give, live, eat, drink,
think and make art, and so,
this magazine is not only
a celebration, but also a
dedication to you.
We are doing things
differently this go round.
We asked you and your
neighbors about the ways
you give back and why.
We explored how CityView
got its start and what's
happened between then
and now. We even stopped
by the Cape Fear Botanical
Gardens to take a staff
picture and see where the
NATURE CONNECTS® Art
with Lego® Bricks Exhibit
will be setting up shop at
the end of September. There
will be more than half a
million Legos there!
In this Culture &
Community issue we are
also celebrating the Arts
Council's 38th International
Folk Festival. I'm so
very grateful to the Arts
Council for a Regional
Artist Project Grant
(RAPG), which allowed
me to attend the Sewanee
Writers' Conference at the
University of the South
in July. What wonderful
resources we have here in
Cumberland County!
Thank you, finally, to our
readers, our advertisers, our
Fayetteville neighbors and
all of the CityView staff and
family.
Here's to many more
CityView issues ahead!
