OUR NEEDS AND OPPORTUNITIES
PHI KAPPA TAU • ALPHA CHI

W
hile the Alpha Chi experience is certainly more than the bricks
and mortar of a house, our future home will undoubtedly play a
significant role in the development of our brothers and will be a proud
symbol of our shared values and goals.
The old houses served Alpha Chi well, but with the changing trends in
Greek housing, a new facility is the best way to move forward. It has
become clear that we must make a major investment in building a new
house if we plan to offer a competitive environment in which to grow our
chapter.
KEEPING OUR BROTHERS SAFE
The safety of our future collegiate members is of utmost importance to the
House Corporation of Alpha Chi. We must offer a structurally sound and
safe home for our students. Much like our personal homes, our house must
be a safe haven that instills confidence in our members and their parents.
PURSUING EXCELLENCE
Mississippi State is as academically challenging as ever and the need for
quiet, well-lit, and comfortable study space within our facility is necessary
for our members to achieve. We have all seen the impact of technology
over the years, as devices not present during your college years are now
necessities in a new house, including personal computers, high-speed
internet access and more. Our plan will ensure that Alpha Chi excels
academically and becomes the scholastic leader on campus and within the
Greek system.
SETTING OURSELVES APART
Building a new house will offer a competitive advantage in reinstalling our
chapter. Today's students demand privacy and the newest amenities. By
building a new house we will provide a better facility than other fraternities
while also competing with apartment complexes and new residence halls
on campus. Our plan is to ensure the Alpha Chi house remains a desirable
living situation for our members for many years to come.
