hi Kappa Tau at Mississippi State boasts a proud history from our
founding in 1938. Phi Kappa Tau was an integral part of Greek life at
Mississippi State for more than 58 years. The Alpha Chi house provided
a home away from home for more than 500 alumni members. Many of
our best college memories can be traced back to our Phi Tau experience at
Mississippi State.
While many of our alumni have gone on to successful and distinguished
careers in business, engineering, technology, and countless other
endeavors, the common bond of our brotherhood remains, along with our
shared principles and values. Most of us can trace the roots of our success
to one place: Alpha Chi.
Through Phi Kappa Tau we acquired valuable assets, which include
character, leadership skills, social etiquette, and teamwork, that proved to
be essential for success in today's competitive world. Oftentimes, these
traits have been integral to our personal success and helped make us the
men we are today.
Although it was sad to see the chapter close in August 1996, a new
challenge awaits Alpha Chi. We have the opportunity to continue our
legacy at Mississippi State by reestablishing Alpha Chi and building a new
house that will raise the standard of Greek housing at Mississippi State.
We call upon you to remember the opportunity afforded by the brothers
before you and ask you to help us ensure the Phi Kappa Tau experience
is available for future generations of young men at Mississippi State to
become Men of Character.
