LCA a Storied hiStory S ince the Pirate Crew was founded in 1912, our exceptional brotherhood has grown in strength every year, evolved with the changing culture of the University, and continually established itself as the leader not only at the University of Missouri, but also with Lambda Chi Alpha internationally. Lambda Chi has earned the best of reputations through unmatched excellence in academics, leadership, and athletics. Today, this tradition of excellence continues as Gamma Kappa looks to build an updated living facility for the young men of Lambda Chi Alpha to enjoy for years to come. We know that our home in Columbia is a key part of the undergraduate experience for Gamma Kappa actives. Our newly constructed home on Stewart Road will serve as a home away from home, a classroom, and a catalyst for social and personal growth for our brothers to practice the values that have defined the Gamma Kappa Zeta brotherhood for generations. Our organization—along with the University and Greek community—has experienced significant change since 1912. Today's Gamma Kappa looks vastly different from the one you knew, just as your years in the chapter were vastly different from the founding and early years. However, the traditions, values, and fundamental experience remain similar to what you remember. Our members forge friendships that will last a lifetime, learn social and leadership skills that will serve them well after graduation, make memories that will be among their most cherished, and grow up at Lambda Chi. As we look toward our next 100 years at Mizzou, we know that a top- notch facility is critical for continued success and growth. Lambda Chi recruits some of the most outstanding men at Mizzou. However, if we wish for Gamma Kappa to continue its strong presence on campus, we must ensure that we are providing a safe, modern, and competitive facility for future members. Now is the time for us to ensure that Lambda Chi is the absolute best Mizzou has to offer. We must continue to set the precedent for excellence in Mizzou's Greek community. Now is the time to further secure the legacy of Gamma Kappa. " " Lambda Chi gave so much to us, and we need to do this for the next generation of Gamma Kappas. – Brian Smith '75, GK 770
