F
or over 100 years, Alpha Sigma Phi has been at the heart of Greek life
at the University of Washington. From our founding to the present, our
proud history speaks for itself through high academic achievement and
leadership. Many of our best college memories can be traced back to the Old
Gal and our Mu Chapter experience.
Through Alpha Sigma Phi, we learned the importance of friendship, service,
and excellence. In addition, we acquired valuable leadership skills and grew
to understand the value of teamwork and character. These traits were essential
in establishing the common bond of brotherhood during our college years and
integral in making us the men we are today.
Our chapter house is clearly the focus of undergraduate life for Alpha Sigs.
The Old Gal has been a home away from home for hundreds of young men
and a classroom where our brothers have learned Our Purposeāto Better the
Man, through the creation and perpetuation of brotherhood founded upon the
values of character: Silence, Charity, Purity, Honor, and Patriotism.
If we wish for Mu Chapter to continue its strong presence on the UW campus,
we must ensure that we are providing a safe, modern, and competitive facility.
It is imperative that we act now to secure the future of the Old Gal.
