Club Bulletin July 2016 35 www.theEDexpo.com T he stakes—and performances—escalated substantially at the 3rd Annual EDI (EXOTIC DANCER Invitational) West, held April 21-23 at Scores Presents Platinum 84 in Denver. With a packed lineup of competing entertainers, including eight in the Newcomer Division, nine in the Showgirl Division and four in the Champion Division, the EDI contest has become the preeminent "showgirl" dance competition in the U.S. At the end of the three-evening event, three girls reigned above the rest. Liza Lust outlasted the competition to take the Newcomer Division title, Natasha Nova beat out an incredibly competitive Showgirl Division to capture that title, while Lacey Rain gained an automatic ED's "Overall Entertainer of the Year" nomination with an impressive victory in the prestigious Champion Division. All three entertainers received crowns, trophies and cash prizes. "The shows at the EDI contests keep getting better and better, and the competition gets even stiffer each year," says EDI Producer & Founder, Dave Manack. Manack is also the Associate Publisher of ED Publications. "Lacey Rain's set was more like live theater than it was a feature entertainer show; it was both unique and highly ambitious. All of the girls brought something to the contest that made it our best EDI yet, and we sincerely appreciate the time and effort they put into their competition performances." Runner-Ups in each category included: Roxi D'Lite, Champion Division First Runner-Up; Angel Beau and Jaded Dawn, First and Second Runner-Up in the Showgirl Division; and Juliette Electrique and Cherry "We loved having you all, and the (entertainers) were great. The feedback from our staff and gals was terrific, too. Everyone had a blast!" — Scott Richter, Owner, Scores Presents Platinum 84 Lacey Rain Natasha Nova Liza Lust Justice Viva La Muerte BJ McNaughty All photos by Richard Kent of Xcitement Magazine L-R: Steve Jaffe, Scott Richter, Dustin Bronaugh and Dave Peacock Cherry Poppins Club Bulletin July 2016 35 www.theEDexpo.com
