We continue to attract the best men at The Ohio State University, whose hard work and diligence make us the standard of fraternal excellence. Campus and Community Involvement The chapter is incredibly involved in the Columbus, Ohio, community. In March, two brothers became key members of The Ohio State University Student Government. Brother Gerard Basalla '17 was elected student body president and brother Varun Jambunath '18 was elected off-campus senator. Moreover, outgoing External Vice President Braden Heyd '17 was elected to the executive board of the Ohio Union Activities Board, and brother Ben Eddingfield '17 was featured on the osu.edu homepage for his work with his mentorship through the Fisher College of Business. Brotherhood Gains Strength in Numbers Recruitment has been as strong as ever, with 45 of the 46 extended bids accepted over the past two semesters. The hard work of former Recruitment Chairman Turner Adornetto '17 and former Vice Recruitment Chairman Nathan Meisberger '17 was unmatched. We understand the importance of looking for values in individuals who are focused on personal and intellectual growth. We UndergradUates driven to achieve excellence Extracurricular Activities Important to Beta Phi Membership Brother Gerard Basalla '17 was elected student body president of The Ohio State University for the 2016-17 school year. The Beta Zeta pledge class began their new member education process to become official members of Delta Tau Delta. are recruiting the most well-rounded young men on campus, who we hope will continue to push Beta Phi to the top. Academic Merit Academically, we achieved the third-highest GPA, 3.35, among the chapters of the Interfraternity Council, which is made up of 34 Greek organizations. This is without a doubt attributed to the diligent efforts of the academic committee, led by Director of Academics Thomas Probel '16 and Academic Advisor Joe Weaver '15. Alumni Support Essential to Chapter Success A newly renovated Shelter, a supportive alumni base, and an eager group of undergraduates will surely set the foundation for immense growth in the coming years. The men of Beta Phi thank all of the alumni for their continued support of our chapter. We owe you so much and certainly wouldn't be the fraternity we are today without your drive, vision, and steadfast guidance. Delts participate in Buckeyethon, the university's dance marathon that raised over $1.3 million for kids battling cancer at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
