Are you enjoying this relatively cool start to Summer? We are running much cooler than the last 5 June's around the entire Southeast. Normally we have been in the frying pan about this time of year, with no cooldown until the Fall, but not so this year! However, I do see a warming trend over the next couple of weeks, but still no "heat waves" really. The reason why is because we keep having strong blocking near the North Pole, and when that happens, that creates lower pressures and cooler tempera- tures further south, right around our area. Another weak low pressure will form in Louisiana this weekend and work our way around Sunday and Monday, with more clouds and storms. The humidity will be on the increase, so it will start to feel a little more like Summer, but atleast we keep rain chances every few days, so the drought will not expand too much.
