FROM LAST ISSUE
Here is an excerpt from the first part of our
interview with APSCU President and CEO Steve
Gunderson.
CCC: In what ways will the convention differ
from other conventions in years past? In
what ways will it be similar?
Gunderson: APSCU sees this as the year
to realign the sector. The future of higher
education is changing, and we need to change
with it. The exhibit hall of APSCU conventions
in previous years is being transformed into an
exhibition space. The 2016 task force helping
to orchestrate the event is made up of industry
and innovation experts working to design a
dynamic and hands-on experience to showcase
the changes in career education.
Live demonstrations on real classroom
techniques will feature what our career schools
are showcasing as they turn out tomorrow's
future workforce. Member institutions
are working with third-party partners to
demonstrate the employer relationship with
our member institutions. This year, we hope
to increase the engagement and excitement
centered around the development of education
technologies and innovative products on the
cutting edge of higher education.
As in years past, the program for the 2016 event
features top leaders in the fields of education,
technology and development, making this the
place for sector discussions and networking.
The three program plenaries, as well as over
50 breakout sessions, are packed with new
and stimulating content relevant to anyone in
higher education.
