A s the school year comes to a close for Epsilon Omicron, the House Corporation is happy to announce the revived alumni newsletter. We will be sending the newsletter twice a year to better keep you up-to-date on alumni and Chapter news. It is our hope that this newsletter will be the first step toward bringing alumni together and to increase awareness and involvement of our Epsilon Omicron alumni. State of the Chapter The state of the Chapter has never been better. The Chapter House and the annex have been at capacity for the last five years as a result of successful summer recruitments, each bringing a class of 30 or more into our brotherhood. We now have 94 undergraduate members, which is on par with other fraternities on campus. The Chapter actively competes in university activities, including Homecoming, intramural sports, Freshman Follies, Varsity Revue, and Spring Sing, as well as several philanthropic and community events. The Chapter has no shortage of accomplishments and awards in recent years. Epsilon Omicron won the True Merit Award five years in a row (2011-2015); won the National Top Chapter Award in 2014 and was the runner-up in 2015; won the Exemplary Chapter Quality Achievement Award in 2015; won the NIC "Chapter of Distinction" award in 2015; and has maintained a top five GPA for several years. Chapter House Plans Fueled by the recent success of the Chapter and by the desire to ensure ATW has a permanent presence on campus, the House Corporation, with the help of a group of alumni, purchased the Chapter House in October 2015. To hear more about the purchase of the Chapter House, see the full article on page 2. Since the purchase of the Chapter House, we have hired a property management company and made much-needed repairs and improvements. We have created a new and better website, www.atookstate.com, to further keep alumni informed. The House Corporation is also in the process of exploring long-range options to continue improving the Chapter House to help us provide a safe and structurally sound home for our collegians, while keeping EO competitive with the other fraternities on campus. We are excited to share plans with you as they become available. Reconnect with Epsilon Omicron My brotherly challenge to you, our alumni, is to get involved. Reconnect with brothers, reach out to lost alumni and bring them back to the fold, stop by the Chapter House and meet Shelby Clanahan, the greatest House Director on campus, and get to know the current members. Next year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of EO and the 40th anniversary of the recolonization in our current location. Let's celebrate these two historic dates with a renewed commitment to our brotherhood and the Chapter that has given us each so much. We welcome your questions, input, and involvement as we embark on the next 70 years of Epsilon Omicron!
