A funeral service was held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby. LAWRENCE HAMPTON SIMPSON Mr. Lawrence Hampton Simpson, age 76, passed away on May 9, 2016. Funeral service was held in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral. Burial followed at Cleveland Memorial Park. Mr. Simpson was pre- ceded in death by his par- ents, Bruce Lawrence and Rilla Mae Gardner Simpson Rockwood; two sisters, Gladys Spearman and Nancy Simpson; and a brother, Franklin Gardner. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Fortenberry JERRY WHITE, SR. Mr. Jerry White, Sr., age 74, of Bostic, NC, passed away on May 7, 2016. Mr. White was preced- ed in death by his wife, Catherine White; his par- ents, P.G. White, Sr. and Grace Condrey White; two brothers, P.G. White, Jr. and Jimmy Ray White. He is survived by one daughter, LaDonna Earwood and husband, James of Valdese, NC; three sons, Jerry White, Jr. of Morganton, NC, Kevin S. White and wife, Shelly of Cary, NC and Jon White also of Morganton, NC; one sister, Josephine White and sister-in-law, Joyce White Greene both of Forest City, NC; nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Burial was private for the family.
