Page 4 Pike Press Active Members Set New Goals for 2016 W e have made great strides this spring academically. As we raise our efforts, I am hopeful that our grade point average will rest above a 3.0 by the fall of 2016. We have a spring pledge class of 15 and will likely initiate each of these men, assuming they pass their Nationals test. The spring has included several events, including a competition in Varsity Revue with the women of Alpha Chi Omega. Students on campus were also excited to participate in our April event, Pike Stock, where we showcased live music, shared with good friends. As we look to the remainder of 2016, we have already begun planning our fall philanthropy. We are paired with the women of Delta Delta Delta for Homecoming and look forward to building a Homecoming deck bigger and better than ever. Our goals for the coming year include: • Raising our grade point average above a 3.0 • Hosting Greek neighborhood events • Maintaining goodwill with the Stillwater community The active members are extremely grateful to the alumni of Gamma Chi who have supported us both financially and physically. Your words are wise and set a precedent for the young members to follow. Thank you for all that you do for us. Fraternally, Nelson Boshuizen '12 Chapter President nelsonbosh@gmail.com Summit meetings, like the national convention, are very helpful tools. They teach undergraduate members how to be better scholars, leaders, athletes, and gentlemen. In the fall, actives traveled to Kansas City for the Summit and report that it was a great time to meet Pikes, new and old! The Football Frenzy team made it to the championship game at Boone Pickens Stadium, paired with the women of Alpha Chi Omega. Football Frenzy is the biggest sporting event of the year for the Greek community and members dress in garnet and gold as they cheer the teams through their bracket. Actives gathered to help local sororities set up for their philanthropies this spring, making new friends while participating in a greater cause. A spring brotherhood event at Buffalo Wild Wings saw a turnout of more than 40 people. Brothers gathered to watch basketball and eat like kings!
