Thank you, again, for giving back to the Chapter—it truly does make a difference! CHAPTER CELESTIAL Albert T. Sindel '39 entered Chapter Celestial on September 12, 2015. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his family, and exploring the various places they lived. Al is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lillian; children: Sandra, Sherry, Tim, and Laurie; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Russel E. Frame '41 entered Chapter Celestial on January 3, 2015. He left college and joined the Marine Corps during World War II, landing in Okinawa, Japan, in April 1945. Russel worked for Southern Pacific for 26 years and retired from CSX as vice president of engineering in 1986. He later was a consultant for railroads in New Zealand and Australia. William A. Schirmer '44 entered Chapter Celestial on July 23, 2014. He was a loving husband, wonderful father/grandfather, member of St. Juliana's parish and choir, danced with Ichabod Square Dancing Club for many years, and loved to play golf. Bill is survived by his wife, Evelyn; four children: Aileen, Stephen, Marybeth, and Gregory; and five grandchildren. Robert D. Newcomer '79 entered Chapter Celestial on October 20, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Donna, sons Ryan and Brett, and countless family and friends. Robert was a resident of St. Louis, Mo., and was an active member of Sokol St. Louis and CSA Missouri Lodge. ALUMNI NEWS John M. Killoran Jr. '62 retired at 55 "because he could" and has absolutely no regrets. Now at 72, John enjoys good health and good family relations. He still weighs the same as when he graduated in 1965, but has more skin than hair showing on his head. He remains active and busy with a wide variety of activities and thinks of 1201 State Street often with very fond memories. John lives in Hazelwood, Mo. E-mail: johnk4443@sbcglobal.net Joseph M. Kountzman III '63 joined Trane after graduating and spent 16 years in Chicago and the next 15 years in Pasadena. In 2000, Joseph was appointed business leader for Trane in Southern California, and in 2004, he was appointed the business leader for both Trane and Ingersoll Rand in Florida. He retired in 2011 and lives in Pasadena with his wife, Marge. They have two daughters: Libby, an architect in New York City, and Kate, an attorney in Palo Alto. E-mail: kountzman@gmail.com Mark A. Martin Sr. '63 reports that his youngest daughter, Jennifer, was selected by the U.S. government to be its best authority on seals and sea lions. She was sent to Indonesia with the top department heads and experts from six other countries to conference on sea mammals. Jenny started Ph.D. studies last fall (she was awarded the Fullbright and National scholarships). She also spent two weeks in Fiji and Bali following her trip to Indonesia. Mark and his wife, Janna, live in Springfield, Ill., and have five children: Kelly, Mark, Michael, Katie, and Jenny. E-mail: jmmamartin@msn.com C. Pat Godwin '69 was inducted into the Academy of Minor Athletes on October 23, 2015. He and his wife, Nancy, continue to travel globally and have taken several African safaris over the years. They spend a lot of time at their lake house on Bull Shoals Lake where they're restoring their 450 acres to natural Missouri habitat. E-mail: godwincp@hotmail.com Donald E. Neely Jr. '69 and his wife, Judy, thoroughly enjoy their new titles as Opa and Oma to three grandchildren. "Grandparenting is definitely the reward of surviving parenthood!" Over the last 25 years, Donald and Judy have enjoyed spectacular hiking in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, California, Oregon, Canada, and Switzerland. They're now exploring the Appalachian Trails out east. Donald and Judy live in Austin, Texas, and have three children: Nathan, Sarah, and Carol Ina. E-mail: neely2175@sbcglobal.net William L.
