A New Chapter in Michigan Gamma's Legacy UNDERGRADUATE CHAPTER FOCUSED ON BUILDING OUR LEGACY Members Prioritize Philanthropy and Recruitment A s the spring semester comes to a close at Michigan State University, the men of Michigan Gamma are working hard to build on the rich history of ΣΑΕ. We are continuing to set an example of leadership for our peers, prospective students, and the surrounding community. This past year, we continued to succeed in the classroom. Our GPA ranks 11th out of the 30 fraternities at Michigan State. We continue to foster scholarship among our members and strive for academic excellence. $17,000 RAISED TOWARD MEMORIAL SLOAN KETTERING CANCER CENTER The men of Michigan Gamma have made philanthropy a top priority. We held our first annual Paddy Murphy event, which raised $17,000 to benefit the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where Alex Berlin '14 was being treated. We will be hosting our first interfraternity lacrosse tournament this spring, which will also benefit the Memorial Sloan Kettering Foundation. The annual Puck Off Cancer hockey tournament with Sigma Chi was a huge success, thanks to the strong support we received from the Greek community. The chapter also co-hosted a flag football event with Beta Zeta, honoring Alex. ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL RECRUITMENT After spring recruitment, the chapter welcomed 19 new members into our brotherhood. Michigan Gamma has made it a priority to recruit men of action and involvement who uphold our True Gentleman standard. The future of our chapter looks very promising as we continue to meet our recruitment goals of signing the top men on campus. We now have 147 active members who are committed to living by ΣΑΕ values and improving our chapter. MICHIGAN GAMMA CELEBRATES INTRAMURAL SUCCESS We currently stand undefeated in intramural basketball and we have high hopes for our intramural teams this spring. Last fall, our intramural football team won the championship for the third year in a row. As the spring semester continues, we look forward to hosting Mom's Day and our second annual Dad's Day. Last year's event was a huge hit and we look forward to sharing our brotherhood with our parents this spring. THANK YOU, LOYAL ALUMNI Alumni, thank you for your continued support and guidance. We would not be the chapter we are today if it weren't for the example you have set. The men of Michigan Gamma are proud to continue adding to the rich history here at 342 North Harrison Avenue. By striking a balance between academic success, philanthropy, and social involvement, our active members are leaving a lasting impact on Greek life, on campus, and in the surrounding community for years to come.
