The Building Leaders for Christ. of St. Pius X St. Pius X Community Rallies Together to Beautify Moeller Field F ebruary 20 was a special and unique workday at St. Pius X. Ever year we prep Moeller Field for softball season by painting, restocking the mulch in the playgrounds, and more. But this year's prep day was different. Families gathered to not only beautify St. Pius X, but to remember the man our field is named after: Bubba Moeller. It's been 10 years since Bubba passed away. His wife, Sandy, wanted to honor him, and recently reached out to ask what the athletic program's needs and wants were. Together, family and friends of Bubba donated funds to restock our PE supplies and gave our sports teams a nice boost with new equipment. It is actions such as these (that flow from the heart) that make us proud to call St. Pius X our family and our home away from home. Seeing all the families gathered, even those whose children are now St. Pius X alumni, re-emphasized the lasting impact of a good Catholic education and the strength of our St. Pius X community. Thank you to the friends and family of Bubba Moeller! Matthew, Sandy, and Gregory Moeller gathered to remember Bubba Moeller, who passed away 10 years ago. Volunteers restocked the mulch in the playgrounds. Others donated funds to restock PE supplies and supply new sports equipment. Family and friends of Bubba prepped Moeller Field for softball season. 14 STUDENTS TO ADVANCE TO PSIA STATE COMPETITION S t. Pius X students attended the Private Schools Interscholastic Association (PSIA) academic competition on March 5, 2016, hosted by St. James Catholic School in Seguin. Our middle school and elementary teams both came in second place overall. Fourteen students will advance to the state competition in Fort Worth at Texas Christian University.
