Giving Back to SAE W e urge your thoughtful consideration of this plan and encourage you to make a pledge today. You are the only one who can place a value on your SAE membership—the lifelong friendships you made, the development of your values and principles, and the many ways SAE enhanced your college years at Auburn. Remember that each of us benefited from the courage, generosity, work, and sacrifice of those who went before us. We all enjoyed the comfort and brotherhood Alabama Alpha Mu provided during our years at Auburn. Now it is our turn to repay the fraternity, ensuring that the same, wonderful experience is available to others. GIFT STRUCTURE Because of the magnitude of our objectives, we urge all alumni to consider major gifts to the campaign. In order for each alumnus to maximize his participation, gifts can be structured over a five-year pledge period. However, early gifts to the campaign are preferable to help reduce borrowing costs. Gifts in honor or in memory of other Sigma Alpha Epsilons, as well as family and pledge class gifts, are welcomed. Recognition in such cases will be given to both the donor and the honoree. DONOR RECOGNITION Each of us, simply by our presence, has contributed to the history of the Alabama Alpha Mu Chapter. How appropriate then that each of our names be entered into its halls. All supporters of the project contributing $2,500 and above will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque. All donors' names will appear in campaign publications, unless otherwise requested. Names will appear by category, relative to the size of their gift. NON-TAX-DEDUCTIBLE GIFTS NEEDED A majority of the areas of the chapter dorms included in the reconstruction plans are non-educational per the IRS guidelines. Therefore, there is a need for non-tax-deductible gifts in order to complete the project as envisioned and with minimal debt. We encourage you to consider making a non-tax-deductible gift to the Alabama Alpha Mu House Corporation to complete these areas. PAY IT FORWARD Your investment in Alabama Alpha Mu will directly impact the lives of our current and future brothers. Today, perhaps more than ever, it is important that we provide young collegiate men with an environment that offers a solid foundation for their education and affords them opportunities for high academic achievement along with the development of leaderhip and social skills. A significant commitment to this major undertaking must be made for SAE to remain a leading fraternity at Auburn. With your support, Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Auburn University will continue to provide a quality living environment that supports, nurtures, and develops outstanding young men with the skills and confidence to face an ever-changing world.
