THE ZETA CHI PIKELINE Spring 2016 ZETA CHI CHAPTER OF PI KAPPA ALPHA AT MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY T he Zeta Chi Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha, Zeta Chi Alumni Association, and Baxter Hall Properties Inc. are pleased to announce occupancy of the fraternity house at 1117 E. Elm Street beginning fall 2016. The 32- man house is in the heart of a deeply entrenched fraternity and sorority life neighborhood. Pi Kappa Alpha will move into the fraternity house on August 1. Zeta Chi has operated without a fraternity house since rejoining Greek life at Missouri State University in spring 2011. Despite this hurdle, the chapter has made a name for itself as one of the largest fraternities on campus. Nearly 100 scholars, leaders, athletes, and gentlemen fill its ranks. "Zeta Chi would not be occupying this fraternity house if not for the dedicated energies of our chapter members, Zeta Chi Alumni Association, and Baxter Hall Properties Inc. The house is truly a testament of brotherhood across generations," shared Chapter President Tyler Jones '12. Today, we are asking for donations again to help furnish our new home on Elm Street. Please donate funds to buy furniture. Make out checks to Baxter Hall Properties and mail to Dave Barrett '77 at 2482 E. Wildwood Rd., Springfield, MO 65804. Donations will go toward the following: • 32 loft beds with dresser and desk and chair underneath, $20,800 • 8 couches for suites, $3,500 • Conference/study rooms, $5,000 • TV room, $3,500 • Misc., $2,500 Our goal is to raise $35,000 before we move into our new home. Naming opportunities for suites, the TV room, or conference/study rooms will be available to alumni who donate $2,500. We also want to extend this opportunity to pairs, small groups, or even entire pledge classes who give $3,000. If you would like to leave your mark on 1117 E. Elm St., please contact a board member to make a donation today. Now is the time to ensure Zeta Chi continues to grow and succeed on campus by getting involved today with your time, talent, or treasure. This is an exciting time for the alumni and undergraduates alike. The alumni association, Baxter Hall Properties, and the advisory board encourage you to reach out and reconnect. Get in touch with brothers whom you haven't spoken to recently. This is a great time to be a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and it is important that those fraternal bonds are strengthened.
