Tell us about your career and what you do professionally. I run a company called My State Threads. I wanted to create a simple way for people from my state to show love for where they are from. Our mission is to grow love through our products. Since starting in January 2013, we've grown to more than 400 retailers across 30 states. It's been an amazing journey and I love running a team and creating new designs for each state. How do you think the fraternity helped you become who you are today? The two biggest impacts that Beta left me with were lifelong friends who have supported me along my journey and an appreciation and understanding for what it looks like to be a man of principle no matter your background. What advice would you give to future Betas? Focus on making lifelong friends and take advantage of the resources at your disposal in college. Danny and his wife, Brooke, live in Cincinnati. Danny Stull '07 (Continued from page 3) A walk-on to the Miami University swim team, Tim Winans '85 followed in the footsteps of his siblings, Laurie Winans Reiser '79 and Andy Winans '83, to become one of the most decorated swimmers in Miami men's swimming and diving history; an accomplishment celebrated in December when Tim was inducted into the Miami University Hall of Fame. Tim was a 10-time MAC Champion, going undefeated at the MAC Championships in the 100-meter breaststroke during his MU career and capturing three MAC titles in the 200-meter breaststroke. He was also a part of three MAC Championship relays, helping Miami earn titles in the 400 medley relay. He was a three-time NCAA Qualifier and U.S. Senior National Qualifier, also competing in the 1984 Olympic Trials. "It was a huge honor to join the student athletes and coaches who preceded me in the Hall of Fame. It was also very special to return to Oxford and share the incredible experience with my family, my teammates, and quite a few Betas." "Two races that really stick out to me were at MAC Championships in 1982, winning the medley relay with Bobby Walter '82, and again in 1984 with David LeBuhn '82. Beta was the best four years of my life, spent with the best friends of my life. Having many Beta brothers as teammates added to the experience, and I was lucky enough to spend two years as an active with my brother and pledge trainer, Andy." Tim makes his home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He spent the first part of his marketing career with large corporations, including GE, Kodak, and McKesson, before starting his own company—MagnetVideo— creating Internet marketing videos for both Fortune 500 and startup companies.
