Appearing Live on stage was: EL TRI, CAIFANES, CAFÉTACVBA, MALDITA VECINDAD Y LOS HI- JOS DEL QUINTO PATIO, MO- LOTOV, KINKY, PANTEÓN RO- COCÓ, OZOMATLI, LOS AMIGOS INVISIBLES, DIVISIÓN MINÚS- CULA, NORTEC COLLECTIVE PRESENTS: BOSTICH + FUSS- IBLE, SILVERIO, FINDE, SID- DHARTHA, MEXICAN DUBWIS- ER, S7N, PALENKE SOULTRIBE and METALACHI. Author and Concert/Festival Pro- ducer and Consultant Hal David- son (not to be confused with the Quartzsite Council Member with the same name), said he still did not have the final count of attendees as Rock Fiesta draws thousands to town of press time, but he was disappoint- ed that the expected 20,000 people did not show up. Pre-sale tickets as of Thursday were just over 3,800. However, he said an estimated 5,500 concert-goers enjoyed the Saturday night headliners, with an estimated 4,600 festival attendees on Friday. Davidson said, "I had a dream and made it happen. It was a resounding public success." The event cost $2.1 million to produce. Bills are getting paid, however "there are financial is- sues with a third party," said David- son. He has a saying about his work, "without conflict there is no festival." Davidson will return to the north- east to relax, before focusing on his concert consulting business and fu- ture projects. Heard over and over again by locals, the people attend- ing were the most polite, courte- ous, and friendly; and the attendees had the time of their lives!
