BOX 3343 MISSOULA, MT 59806 Address service requested BETA BEAT Sigma Alpha Epsilon s University of montana Chapter Eternal Theodore A Schuman '50 entered Chapter Eternal on May 12, 2015, at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife, Elda, and children: Marcia, Jamie, Christopher, and Neal. William P. Wollschlager '52 entered Chapter Eternal on March 6, 2015, at the age of 86. He and his wife, Ann, moved to Sanibel, Fla., in 1987 and it is now Ann's permanent home. Bill and Ann were full-time volunteers for various organizations and Bill was a proud member of Lions Clubs International, which is the world's largest service club organization. Donald R. Lord '58 entered Chapter Eternal on February 17, 2015, in Missoula, Mont., after a sudden illness. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pat, and his three children. John D. Bailey '65 entered Chapter Eternal on January 13, 2015, at the age of 71. He loved music, primarily as a vocalist, and was a self-taught pianist and stand-up bass player. His favorite moments were spent in jam sessions with his friends, son, daughter, and grandchildren, and he added the foundational bass line and perfect harmony to whatever song was being played. He also enjoyed golf, his lupine garden and flowers, and his ferocious loyalty to the Griz. John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Robin; son, Chris; daughter, Kate; sister, Helen; brother, Jim; nephew, Brent; grandchildren, Will, Addison, Read, Kerry, and Weston; and numerous cousins. Alumni News Gordon E. Swanson '43 and his wife, Ina, live in Missoula, Mont., and enjoy going out to restaurants and taking their car out for a drive. All three of their children live in Missoula as well. Maurice P. Volkman '45 is 93 years old and lives in The Springs at Missoula, which is a senior living center in Montana. In his spare time, he takes pleasure in watching Montana Grizzlies sports on television. Clayton L. Huntley '52 spends six months in Sun City West, Ariz., and will return to his home in Wisdom, Mont., around the first week of May. Faust '54 visited UM and was proud to see the Grizzlies claim a victory over Northern Arizona University and spend time with Hal Gillet '53 and Rich Gunlikon '53. Ronald lives in Billings, Mont. Long '62 and his wife, Pat, attended the Montana Beta reunion last year at Big Fork. He says, "As always, it was great to get together. Rieke '63 hosted a successful Friday night event for the 2015 reunion of Montana Beta brothers from the '60s and little sisters in Bigfork, Mont., and is looking forward to the next reunion.
