Page 2 Cal Delta News & Views Two New Scholarship Funds Launched L ast fall, the CA Delta Alumni of SigEp (the AVC), conducted two parallel fundraising campaigns—The MacNeil Scholarship Fund and the Trovaten-Dahlkamp Scholarship Fund. We offer many thanks to those generous alumni who came through with their support. In the first run of this campaign, we received more than $12,300. The MacNeil Fund was created to honor CA Delta member and past chapter president Tim MacNeil '66 with a major sustaining contribution from CA Delta alumnus Dennis Tilton '66. Each year, one CA Delta member will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship based on academic performance, chapter and campus leadership, strong moral character, and financial need. The first recipient will be named this spring, with the award presented next fall. The Trovaten-Dahlkamp Fund will help defray the cost of leadership training for undergraduate members. This year, thanks to alumni donations, we were able to send four additional emerging leaders to the annual SigEp Carlson Leadership Academy in Costa Mesa. These men were Dylan Chesney '18, Brad VanZant '18, Zack Fulks '19, and Austin Stewart '19. The fund also supports academic development, including reward programs for undergraduate brothers who excel in the classroom. The CA Delta Chapter and AVC offer our thanks to these generous men for their support this year: Joe Kiefer '63 Al Knoll '63 Vince Biondo '64 Skip Dahlkamp '64 Jerry Hutter '65 Walt Steffen '65 Tom Devereux '66 John Kaiser '66 Joe Sullivan '66 John Super '66 Dennis Tilton '66 Bob Trovaten '67 Ron Smith '69 Dale Walters '69 Jeff Kamholz '88 Anthony Lanzone '93 Kevin Kwoka '11 Our goal for the fall is to raise a minimum of $5,000.
