Judges for the event were Amelia Flores, PUSD Govern- ing Board Member; Leah Castro, County Treasurer; and Ana Cama- cho, County Community Develop- ment Member. Rich Tozer, Arizona Western College Adjunct Faculty, was the Pronouncer. Jacque Price, the La Paz County School Superin- tendent, expressed her appreciation for their time and capable service. She also recognized Shelly Rohde, Chief Deputy for the County Educa- tion Service Agency, for assisting with the event and all the site co- ordinators who held the individual school competitions. Thanks were also given to La Paz County Board of Supervisor's for providing the fa- cilities and certifi cates. There were a total of sixteen stu- dents from around the county who won the chance to represent their school. Those students were: Wyatt Viloria and Fernando Mejia (absent) from Bouse Elementary School, Justin Stephens and Elias Pedroza from Ehrenberg Elementary School, Kyrene Cruz and Christen Villescaz from Le Pera Elementary School, Jonathon Beckett and Nastasha Johnson from Quartzsite Elementa- ry School, Kaitlyn McKean and Vic- tor Ortiz from Salome Elementary School, Annie Nguyen and Courtney Casanova from Wallace Elementary School, Juan Antonio Ruelas and Edward Romage from Wenden El- ementary School, along with Herold Merrick and Adianne Alamban from Wallace Jr. High School. Each participant received a con- gratulatory certifi cate from the Board of Supervisors and a Wal- Mart gift card.
