Season ending golf finale at Rainbow Acres

We have had a wonderful time
hosting the Rainbow Acres tour-
naments this season and have
made many friends along the way.
Thanks to all the participants for
making our tournaments such a
success. This eighth tournament
was just as much fun as ever with
good, bad and ugly shots by all!
The fi rst place winners were Ches-
ter Henry and Verlyn King who
shot a team score of 40. In second
place, there was a 2-way tie with
Merlyn King and Russ Leininger
and Don Clark and Norm Durant
both shooting team scores of 41.
Bill Toner and Tom Chopski took
the 4th place honors with their
score of 42. In 5th place, we had a
4-way tie with the teams of Bud Key
& Linda Taylor, Shirley Mathews &
Mac McLean, Bob Cutler & Robert
Dickson, and Lou Jensen & Robert
Barnard all fi ring 43's.
Closest to the pin on hole #8 was
Mac McLean and closest to the
pin on #9 was Linda Taylor. Long
drive for men on hole 13 was won
by Chester Henry and Robert Dick-
son. Women's long drive was won
by Shirley Mathews.
Holes-in-one were scored by Norm
Durant, Chester Henry, Dean
Harrington, and Russ Leininger.
Saturday scrambles will continue
