MAY 5 Duck Derby As many as 20,000 rubber ducks will race down the Cape Fear River in support of Fayetteville Urban Ministry and several other local non-profit organizations. MAY 6 The David Varnadoe Greenwing Adventure Kids up to 17 years old are invited to this Ducks Unlimited sponsored event to learn about fishing and con- servation. MAY 9 Esperanza Spalding Having won a Grammy last year for Best New Artist, Esperanza Spald- ing, is bringing her signature blend of jazz, folk, world and chamber music to the Carolina Theatre, May 9.
