CHISOLM RUDY MACKY HALL DONNA GREGORY Welcome to the Cumberland County Schools! We proudly serve more than 52,000 learners. Our commitment to your child is simple: high expectations, a caring environment and opportunities to explore career choices. We have built a support system for the military child and are one of the founding members of the Military Compact and Military Child Educational Coalition (MCEC). It allows us to focus on the growth of each student. We are a fully accredited school system which certifies that we are focused on continuous improvement, data-informed decisions and student achievement. Recent results have shown that our teachers are exceeding the state average for growth. In 32 of our subjects, all teachers made growth. The importance of the measure is our philosophy of every child receiving a quality education measured by growth. Our graduates meet the requirements for all the institutions of higher learning from the best in North Carolina to the Ivy League. Each year, our graduating classes have students that will be attending military academies. For those students with exceptional needs, we have a staff that is recognized for its excellence. We have transformed our classrooms into a digitally advanced setting that has wireless technology in all classes with an emphasis on digital learning. We have Advanced Placement in all high schools and have the capacity to teleconference with other sites as needed. We are continuously looking for ways to meet the needs of students and prepare them for a high-tech world. If we can assist you in anyway during your transition, please call at 910.678.2300. Our Board of Education and staff are excited to welcome you to our community. We look forward to providing your child with a quality education. Superintendent Cumberland County School District
