The Corning Museum preserves and exhibits artifacts that represent the cultural heritage
of Corning and Tehama County specifically, and Northern California in general.
Many displays at the museum include articles of period clothing, tools, pictures and other
items dating back to the early days of Corning. A train set and doors from the offices of some
of the county's former judges are also on display.
The museum is housed at 1110 Solano St. with the Corning Chamber of Commerce.
The building is shared with the Corning Police Department and Corning City Hall and was
originally the first floor of the Hotel Maywood. The top floors of the building burned in 1965.
