Bouse Genies Paul Winer concert coming up January 30 at Q.I.A. By Joanne Winer Paul Winer will be playing some great boogie woogie blues at his annual concerts at the Q.I.A. on January 30. He will do two shows, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m He will share the stage with Ralph Martin on a one- string wash tub bass, and Buddy Apfel on tuba and trombone. He will also be joined by blues har- monica player and boyhood friend Will (Old Willie Boy) Pirone who will fly in again this year to be in the concert. Jerry Mullins, who accompanied Paul for the past 8 years, will unfortunately not be there this year since he passed away in early December. There will be a special tribute to Jerry Mullins in the show this year. Paul is looking for any band guitarists who knew Jerry and his music and want to be part of the special tribute to let him know if they can come to either one or both shows to be a part of it. You can check with him at the book- store, or call him at 928-927-6551. Tickets for both shows are avail- able at the Q.I.A. and also at the Reader's Oasis Bookstore. They will also sell them at the ticket booth at show time. If you haven't seen this show, you are in for a big treat, and even if you have, no two shows are ever alike.
