Proceeds from their fundraisers go back to the community. Quilts and RADA Cutlery can be purchased at their clubhouse. HOSPICE OF HAVASU We offer Life Af- ter Loss, a 8 week support group to help those who are going through a time of sorrow. Participants will be provided with the tools to make their grieving a health- ier experience. This support group is offered at no cost. QUARTZSITE AREA CHAMBER of Com- merce & Tourism announced they will host a Light up Quartzsite Christmas Decor Contest for 2016. This will include Rain- bow Acres and La Paz Valley. Organizers wanted to announce this now so people can plan and take advantage of After Christ- mas Sales. Details will be announced at a later date. Watch for more information at www.QuartzsiteTourism.com QUARTZSITE HISTORICAL SOCIETY is presently in the process of re-orga- nization and seeking nominations for officers and members of the Board of Directors. Our monthly meeting is held on the first Wednesday of each month during the winter season, this month the meeting will be held at 2:00 PM in the main dining hall at Isaiah 58 on Moon Mountain Road. Please stop in for a tour of the museum located on Main Street to learn about our wonderful history and how to nom- inate or run for office of the Society. QUEEN OF PEACE BREAKFAST Jan 9. SENIOR CENTER UPDATES Tom Batson, with the Red Cross will be SEE AROUND TOWN PAGE 28 holding training session on Shelters at the Senior Center. The class will begin on Wednesday, January 6 at 9:30 am with a break then resume at 12:30 pm until 3 pm. Please plan to attend. Se- niors serve lunch at noon. The Senior Citizens Board of Officers and Directors will, from this day for- ward, be making the decisions neces- sary for the operation of the Senior Citizens Center. The Board has tried unsuccessfully to hold meetings but have been unable to have quorum of members present. The Board Meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month at 10:30 am. The meetings are open to the members and the pub- lic. The Board hopes to see you at some of these meetings.
