This weekend the Art Guild is showing off its new look at the Senior Center 40 Moon Mountain Ave., Quartzsite. The Annual Art Show will be held Friday Jan 8th and Sat. Jan 9th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. We are continuing to grow with now 26 showing artists. There are Four Grand Raffle priz- es ranging from $50 to $165. We have a beautiful pendent donated by Hardies Beads and Jewelry, our traditional $50 in gold coins from the club members, a handmade Raggedy Ann doll from Judy Wein- berger and an oil painting by Oney Budge. There will be surprise draw- ings throughout the show as well as door prizes given away each half hour of gift certificates and gifts. The room will be packed with fine art, cards and prints, large and small (for our motorhomers). With all the activity in town don't forget to put us on your schedule for the fun, laughs, and participating in choosing the Best of Show. We ap- preciate your help. The Quartzsite Improvement Association (QIA) is holding a special 50th Anniversary Rock and Gem Show Raffle. Raffle tickets are available for sale at the QIA office. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. We will only be selling 1,000 tickets so hurry and get yours. All the prizes were bought last year from Rock and Gem show venders. The QIA office is open Mon- day thru Friday from 9am-noon. QIA's 50th Rock & Gem Show Raffle Like the rest of Quartzsite, the Quilters are seeing more and more old friends returning to join us on Tues. We will be having some class- es and demos for new ideas or old ideas shown in a new way. We are ramping up for our show in February. If you are planning on entering a quilt in the show you should pick up an entry form. They are available at our meetings on Quilt Show Feb. 5 & 6, 2-16 Tuesday at the Senior Center.
