Alumni News George Olmstead '56 recalls that Gamma opened doors of opportunity. His career was extremely interesting, challenging, and rewarding. "On every job you should be willing to work hard, have objectives, seek knowledge, persevere, and treat people respectfully." George can remember a prime pledge objective was to get John Akers '55 into a car, which contained only pledges, for a ride he would long remember. Objective accomplished! Lynn Dietrich '70 received Penn State's Distinguished Alumni Award, the university's highest individual award, which salutes alumni whose personal lives, professional achievements, and community service exemplify the objectives of their alma mater. Lynn is the director of global engineering and the Engineering Centers of Excellence for Manitowoc Cranes. He resides in Chambersburg, Pa., with his wife, Joyce.
