Make a donation online by visiting http://donatenow. kintera.org/lxa T he Your Old House Alumni Reunion and Auction weekend on September 25-26 was indeed a memorable time. Over 140 brothers attended, from the 1940s to the present, with Bill Stallman '48 X579, Dick Reynolds '49 X600, and Bob Wilson '53 X650 meeting our newest initiates, now up to X2126, as well as the associate member class of 21 young men from fall recruitment. Friday evening, alumni gathered at Joe's on 5th Street as they got back in town, catching up on news of old friends until near midnight. Saturday was one of those glorious fall days you cannot forget, allowing for a relaxing lunch on the deck or in the tent in the front yard as more and more brothers of different eras arrived. e house displayed history and memorabilia, details of the plans for our future home, and the many items up for bid in the auction. e annual alumni meeting at mid-day allowed the Alumni Association to review with everyone our continuing progress: the exciting features of our evolving new chapter house plans; the progress of fundraising and finance plans, including our remaining, pressing challenges; how the active chapter will stay together in a rental Greek house during the transition year (see an update on page 4); the Mentoring Program for active members to connect with alumni of similar majors/career interests; and the chapter report by High Alpha Alex Tazic '14 X2089 on the successful performance of chapter probation requirements, recruitment success, and participation in campus organizations. en the live auction began in the living room, with items drawing the interest of alumni who supported the effort with lots of bidding. e auction reflected our love for our fraternity and old chapter house more than the true value of the items, and it was a joyful and fitting send-off for the stately old front room—a beautiful example of true brotherhood across many decades. e day ended with an aernoon football victory celebrated back at the chapter house, where a special dinner by Chef Jerry Edwards '05 X1735 was enjoyed. e evening concluded with relaxed conversation and a variety of music to please all generations, provided by the undergraduate brothers. It was indeed a memorable weekend for all brothers involved! Your Old House Alumni Reunion Weekend Is a Huge Success Alumni gather outside the chapter house during the Your Old House Alumni Reunion weekend. Distinguished Low Chi attendees Bill Stallman '48 X579, Dick Reynolds '49 X600, and Bob Wilson '53 X650. Undergraduates cleaned the chapter house to prepare for the Your Old House Alumni Reunion and Auction weekend. Many alumni enjoyed looking over the plans for our new $6.5 million house at the Alumni Reunion Weekend. Brothers from the 1970s reconnect at the Your Old House Alumni Reunion Weekend and auction.
