P I K E P R E S S Gamma Chi Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha at Oklahoma State University G amma Chi Chapter celebrated a wonderful milestone in the Honoring Our Legacy, Securing Our Future campaign at the groundbreaking for the new Gamma Chi chapter house on September 12. This historic event was attended by more than 400 alumni, undergraduates, and their guests. Please see page 2 for more photos. Alumni and undergraduate members alike were excited and inspired to witness this seminal moment in the history of Gamma Chi Chapter. I would like to thank the brothers who attended and all those who have donated to the campaign so far for making the dream of a new house become a reality. It is so motivating to see our hard work and dedication pay off. To keep updated on our construction progress, visit www.cmswillowbrook.com/streams to view a live feed of the site. As construction advances, we reflect on how our time in the chapter and in the house positively impacted our lives, and we aim to give future generations the same opportunities afforded to us. We live out the mission of ΠKA to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service. While 44 alumni have pledged more than $2.3 million in support, we are still short of our $4.5 million campaign goal needed for a positive cash flow and operation. Gamma Chi needs your support. Just as the new building is vital, it is also important we have the support of every alumnus to reach our goal. Through careful planning and alumni input, we are doing this project once and doing it right. Brothers have contributed their time and resources to make this a successful investment. Please use the enclosed pledge form or visit http://osupike. kintera.org/donate to make a contribution today. Pledges of $10,000 or more may be eligible for a tax deduction through the Pi Kappa Alpha Educational Foundation, and gifts of $2,500 or more will be featured on a plaque prominently displayed in the new house. All pledges can be easily spread over a period of five years. Every gift is important and appreciated, no matter the size. We know that you have memories and friendships from your Pike days at OSU that have enriched your life. We are confident the next decades will be as exciting as the past. With your help, we can ensure Gamma Chi's positive and growing standing at Oklahoma State. I know you will not regret being a part of this extraordinary time in the history of Gamma Chi Chapter. Fraternally, Nicholas Johnson '02 osupike21@yahoo.com Gamma Chi Chapter Breaks Ground More Than $2.3 Million Raised to Date We Can Reach Our $4.5 Million Goal with Your Help FALL 2015 75 T H A N NIVERS A R Y "The undergraduates have chosen to support the capital campaign because, above all else, we realize the lasting legacy that this new house will have on the future of the Gamma Chi Chapter and we wanted to be among the first to contribute to the cause. We understand that our contribution will send the message that we mean business and that we truly care about the future of the Gamma Chi Chapter. Considering that many fraternities at OSU have already upgraded or are upgrading their facilities, it is critical that we do the same in order to remain competitive in an already extremely competitive environment. The new chapter house will assist in every aspect of the chapter's operations, most notably recruitment, name recognition, and public relations. Most importantly, a new chapter house will help to ensure that Gamma Chi's legacy of excellence will continue for years to come. Chapter Members Contribute $100,000 to Campaign T he Gamma Chi undergraduate chapter has taken a leadership position in Honoring Our Legacy, Securing Our Future.
