By Joanne Winer Time is getting closer for the Quartzsite Christmas Electric Light Parade, so better get your applications picked up and filled out and returned soon to be in- cluded in this great event. This will be the 12th annual parade, and is sponsored by the Quartzsite Business Chamber of Commerce. The parade line-up will start at 6 p.m. along Mesquite Ave. (next to La Mesa RV on Main St.) and will travel east on Main St. and turn left at Plymouth Rd. It will end up at Town Hall o++n North Plym- outh Rd at Quail Trail St.., where there will be a tree lighting cer- emony, refreshments, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus for the little ones. Trophies will also be given out at Town Hall after the parade, and everyone is invited to stay after the refreshments are served to see who won the trophies in all the catego- ries this year!! The parade is in need of some more entries to make it a success, so please think about getting a float, decorated vehicle or other entry included in the line-up this year and join in all the fun!!! Application are available at the Quartzsite Business Chamber of Commerce at 110 W. Main St. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entries must pick up their numbers on Friday, Dec 11 by 3 p.m. and all applications are needed back by Thursday, Dec. 10. If you can't be part of the pa- rade, please come and watch it go by and cheer everyone on--they do a great job every year and everyone has a good time! The Town of Quartzsite is spon- soring the annual Town Wide Cleanup Days on December 17, 18, & 19th 2015. Dumpsters are available on the Town Lot just east of Ed Options, 560 E. Coyote (just around the corner from the Police Station, off Plymouth) and the North East corner of Moon Mountain and Quail Trail. Free trash and household goods disposal, however NO TIRES NO HAZARDOUS WASTE OR WHITE GOODS (nothing with Freon, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers).
