Help for veterans comes to La Paz County Quartzsite - National Community Health Partners staff Moreno CEO, Villalpondo Project Coordinator, Weeks Case Manager, and Royce Case Manager attended the La Paz County Veterans Bar-B-Que. The event was sponsored by Rob- ert 'Gunny" St. Germain, retired Marine. Gunny is a leading ad- vocate for Veteran services in the county, and owns and operates an incredible military museum cover- ing every branch of U.S. service. Moreno stated, "La Paz is very fortunate to have Gunny, a tireless individual. On behalf of National Community Health Partners we salute Gunny and look forward to provide Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) funded by the VA, in La Paz County." NCHP is working in La Paz County to help end homelessness for veterans and their families. Who Qualifies for the Program The eligibility of clients in La Paz and Yuma Counties will be as- sessed via a detailed screening pro- cess but to meet the basic require- ments the client must: □ Have served at least one day of active duty in the U.S. Military (not training). □ Have a discharge status other than dishonorable. □ Be homeless or at risk of becom- ing homeless. □ Have an income of 50% or less than the Area Median Income (AMI).
