Welcome, New Members A labama Beta had the pleasure of hosting over 130 parents in Tuscaloosa for our first official Parent's Weekend since returning to campus for the fall semester. The weekend began with a cocktail event downtown, which was enjoyed by both undergraduates and parents who got to relive some of their college years. The Crimson Tide played University of Louisiana Monroe, which was a great opportunity for parents to see their first Alabama football game. We hosted our own tailgate at the SigEp house with a brief introduction from Chapter Advisor Jimmy Hubbard, Tennessee Zeta '91 and House Director Mary Ferreri. Parents took the opportunity to tour campus, stock up on Alabama gear, and try out some of Tuscaloosa's best food. Tyler Brake '17 said, "I think this was a great event for our Chapter, not only for undergraduates to see their parents but for the parents to see what their son's Fraternity is all about. I had several parents approach me and tell me how great of a weekend it was and how impressed they were, and I take great pride in that. I think this is a great stepping stone for many Parent's Weekends to come."
