KEEPING TKE
COMPETITIVE
Why Eric Dunning '66, BH313
Supports the Campaign
I
n recent years, Tau Kappa
Epsilon has grown to be a
top Chapter on campus. They
have excelled academically,
philanthropically, and
socially. But in order for Beta
Eta to remain competitive, it
is vital that a new Chapter House be built. This is
just one of the many reasons that Eric Dunning
'66, BH313 is supporting the Pride in Our Past,
Securing Our Future campaign.
When Eric first came to the university, he had
many fraternities to choose from, but none stood
out as TKE did because they demonstrated an
unmatched commitment to excellence. He knew
that he had found the right brotherhood. Some
of his favorite college memories are times spent
with his fellow Fraters. He particularly enjoyed
serving as co-recruitment chairman with Steve
Muir '65, BH292 and having the opportunity to
talk with prospective Fraters all over the state.
Eric's fraternity experiences afforded him
important skills and lessons that prepared him
for life after college. "I learned how to be part
of a team, how to set and achieve goals, and
how to become a leader." He encourages the
current undergraduates to take advantage of the
opportunities TKE provides. Eric hopes that the
campaign will make it possible for future Fraters
to have those same opportunities.
In reflecting on his experiences, Eric shares, "I
wanted to give back to the fraternity for all that
it did for me." He gave to the capital campaign
to continue growing the legacy of Tau Kappa
Epsilon and to help it to maintain a competitive
edge. Now, he encourages his fellow Fraters to
consider the impact the fraternity had on their
lives and how they can further that legacy. "Your
contribution will ensure that Beta Eta continues
to be a top Chapter on campus."
Eric is retired from a 34-year career with Proctor
and Gamble. He and his wife, Darlene, live in
Spring Hill, Tennessee, and have four children:
Erica Raines, Lisa Robnett, Kimberly Milner,
and Jennifer Goodman. He keeps in touch with
many of his fellow Fraters, including Larry
Reagan '66, BH315, Jim Stewart '66, BH322,
Dave Fandel '66, BH318, Jim Hinshaw '68,
BH347, and John Stucker '68, BH343. You can
